Irish reel set
リールはこれまでに何百曲と吹いてきましたが、人生を通じて演奏する曲を１０選べと考えると、難しいものです。ここでは、メロディの美しい曲、変奏のしやすい曲、地味だけど優れた曲、単純で力強い曲というテーマで選曲しました。１曲目はスコティッシュで、ほかはアイリッシュです。どれも長年吹いてきた、好きな曲ばかりです。最後にふさわしく、流麗に、ダイナミックに吹きたいものです。

Sonny’s return
久しぶりに録音してみました。
ソロライブの選曲からは漏れていますが、この曲も好きな曲ですね～。
色々なヴァージョンがあるようですが、覚えているままに演奏したら、 フルートのJoanie Maddenヴァージョンと、Paul McGrattanのヴァージョンと をあわせたようなメロディになりました。
楽譜はこちら。
ソロライブ向けにリストアップした好きな曲のうち、セットにならなかったり、 試行錯誤の上、多くが残念ながら不採用になりました。 そういう曲にもいずれ出番が来ることでしょう。
